Franz Habel, managing director of Vulcano and Vulcano farmer, has been managing the Vulcano company since 2000. Markus Fuchs, Vulcano farmer, is responsible for technology, and Herbert Ehrenhöfer, farmer and owner of a wine tavern, serves Vulcano products at his tavern.

The long time of curing makes Vulcano products taste so natural. The result is delicious specialities - typical for this region with its long tradition in epicurean delights - for gourmets who insist on knowing what goes in the products and where they come from. Vulcano farmers produce a regional brand product. Everything, from produce from the fields to ham is refined by hand. The same gentleness displayed by the rolling hills of Eastern Styria is also applied to Vulcano products: the farmers use hardly any seasoning, just a touch of salt, spice and smoke, so that the fine taste of the meat with its more than 100 flavours can unfold. The long curing time makes Vulcano products taste so natural.
